With the growing need of automated activities in industrial, commercial and home environments, it has become increasingly important to develop Internet of Things (IoT) related skills. IoT is all about integrated systems involving a combination of sensors, actuators and processors solving real-world-problems.
IoT involves communication and collaboration between interrelated computing devices without human intervention. It is an essential contributor to the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), wherein a world is created where smart machines self-monitor, communicate, analyse, diagnose, instruct and actuate without any human input.
This programme involves intensive hands-on practical sessions, as well as a project, wherein various sensors, actuators, components, an Arduino and a Raspberry Pi are combined as an integrated IoT solution.
