Considering the wide use of diesel engines in vehicles, mining and construction equipment and generators, the demand for Diesel Mechanics is on the rise. After completing an apprenticeship, you will be a qualified Diesel Mechanic with The Red Seal.

A qualified artisan will be able to:

  • Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on diesel vehicles
  • Dismantle, inspect, assess, repair and reassemble diesel engine and vehicle system components
  • Diagnose And Repair Faults In Diesel Engines, Vehicle Systems And Their Components
  • Intake: Flexible Intake
  • Duration: 27 to 36 months, depending on the pace of the learner
  • Who Should Apply: School Leavers, Artisan Aides, Not-yet-qualified/Semi-Skilled Mechanics and Entrepreneurs
